In this time of environmental upheaval we humans must realize that we need to care for this planet and all its inhabitants. Killing off a population of birds who have just made a bit of a come-back from the brink of extinction is not a good choice for caring for our planet. Leave the cormorants alone, please. They provide ecological balance, they are native to our province, are beautiful, and have just as much right to live as the humans around them. The world is losing entire species of plants and animals daily because of human interference. This is not good. Bio-diversity is good. Ask any scientist.
It is time humans become less arrogant and self-important and start to be wise and less invasive.
Do not allow the cull of cormorants to happen.
