Government should have transparency, if this Bill comes into law it shows that the Ontario government does not believe that their proposed actions can stand on their own and will only be able to be passed through secretive measures where no one is able to look into the details. Premier Doug Ford has been standing up for Ontarians publicly against Donald Trump so why is his government now looking to create DOGE like measures and rule Ontario in a way closer to Donald Trump's government. As the recent CBC article (linked below) show developers cannot be trusted to take pubic concerns into account let alone operate sites free of health and safety concerns. Why should Ontarians trust them to do any sort of environmental assessments or take any ecological considerations into account when they cannot be trusted to even take the health of safety of their own employees into account? The Ford government should not pass this Trumpian bill.
