I am adamantly opposed to this "open hunting season" on the double-crested cormorant. It is an unnecessary, unethical, outdated, environmentally damaging, and cruel idea. There is no concrete evidence that supports the claim that double-crested cormorants cause water pollution, deplete fish stocks, or cause environmental damage. Human beings always go to "cull" animal methods to fix issues, when perhaps our ever-increasing population and the pollution WE cause is the real problem. Work to fix that please instead!
