This bill is extremely dangerous to Ontario's wellbeing - for our citizens, environment, and economy alike. In a time of increasingly worsening global warming due to human action, resulting in hotter and hotter summers, wildfires, extreme heat, floods, and dangerous storms, it is irresponsible at best and actively, stupidly dangerous at worst to strip environmental protections and regulations from Ontario, especially for such sensitive natural areas like the Ring of Fire. This Bill only adds to the immense layers of corruption this government is so flagrantly revealing to so clearly favour whichever developers offer the prettiest penny for unrestricted, and unregulated use of our lands. Those regulations are there to protect us and our already precarious environment. This is an incredibly short-sighted and deeply problematic bill somehow capable of simultaneously destroying our environment, hard-fought labour laws, and even democratic participation in the government's actions. Also, in this day and age of biology, is it really so difficult to understand what killing off a bunch of endangered species might do to Ontario's ecosystem? Spoiler alert: nothing good! We need better ecological balance, and that means protecting our native plant and animal species. In a series of environmental scandals already facing this government, we really don't need another. Please, retract and kill this bill.
