I am very concerned that these changes will violate the Treaty rights of First Nations, and as such, I am opposed to these changes being made. From my understanding, these changes will allow the province and developers to sidestep Archaeological Requirements. This is completely unacceptable. Faster development does not and never will excuse violating Indigenous rights!

The provincial government must respect the rights of Indigenous peoples and must fulfill its' duty to consult with First Nation communities. These changes would allow the province to ignore these obligations. As an Ontarian, I demand that my government uphold its treaty obligations! These changes should not be implemented.
