As a resident of the Greensville community, this amendment will allow burning of materials that increase the hazardous pollutants within the direct local community air. As a trained public health professional and current physician-in-training, this raises significant concerns on my part for the health of us, as well as possible repercussions and impacts on future chronic diseases and reproductive health due to increased levels of environmental pollution. Greensville has very recently successfully blocked a very similar issue from happening at the local kiln, please look back to comments made from residents directly before making changes. I am opposed to having materials redirected from the landfill to burn in my community, and would challenge those individuals who are pushing for change to think about whether they would want that in their backyard.
