What a ridiculous proposal…

What a ridiculous proposal. We need to be reducing waste, increasing ability to recycle and increasing scope of recycling program. What world are we trying to leave for our children. Our household recycles and composts and has for years. My teenagers are still encouraging us to reduce waste more and compost more. We are making space for a second green bin and generally have 1/2-3/4 of a bag of garbage to put out.
Climate change will impact insurance costs (forest fires/floods/storms), healthcare costs and more. Becoming a greener province is one of the most important investments we should be making at this time. Burning of packaging?? Is this a joke. Are we going to follow the US back to the Coal era as well?
What a disappointing proposal.
Ontario is such a beautiful province - we need to invest in keeping it that way. Why are we backtracking from a goal of reduced waste and increased recycling.
