I strongly oppose this proposal for the removal of land from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and the sale of the land to the Town of Wasage Beach for development. These protected areas include critical habitat for the endangered piping plover, as well as valuable habitat for many other species. We need to leave space for nature, as well as public enjoyment of these lands, not selling them off to the highest bidder. Ontario should be looking at expanding protected areas across the province, not reducing them for short term economic gain for a small number of people.
