I oppose this change to the conservation act and this development, and question how you can support and protect the natural heritage of an area by destroying what’s natural about it. This is an outrageous proposition and should not go forward. This is an area that should be protected and preserved as one of the last remaining breeding grounds of the piping plover and other threatened species. If you want to attract tourism, do it by preserving the natural ecosystems here and advertising it as a wildlife sanctuary and park space to be shared and enjoyed. Not developed and destroyed. We will never get this natural space back, and we will never get these species of animals back once developers have made their millions with the land.
