Your proposed changes to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act would not only jeopardize the Piping Plovers at Wasaga Beach but would open the door to privatizing all Ontario parks.
Ontario’s parks are for the public. They exist to protect endangered species, sensitive ecosystems, and the natural spaces that connect our communities and shield us from climate disaster – not to benefit wealthy, well-connected developers.
I urge you to:
- Withdraw the proposed changes to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act
- Reinstate the Endangered Species Act and strengthen protections for the Piping Plover and other at-risk species
- Keep Ontario parks in public hands forever
Protect the Piping Plovers. Protect Ontario’s parks. Stop your privatization agenda.
