Selling off portions of our protected spaces is completely out of alignment with our country's stated goal of protecting 30% of our lands and waters by 2030. These beach waterfront areas are a breeding ground for sensitive species like Piping Plovers which have been suffering from habitat loss due to projects just like this one. Surely, we can make wiser decisions about protecting our natural spaces for future generations??
