This transfer is long overdue. The Town will provide Nancy Island with the Historical Recognition and services that a critical part of Canadian history deserves. The Province has not been committed to preserving the site as it deserves.
This will become a key part of our Destination Wasaga plan.
The beach areas involved in the transfer will also receive a more integrated approach by the Town of Wasaga Beach. I fully support this transfer.
