Wasaga Beach is a incredible place with important wildlife and green spaces for Ontarians to enjoy. This area should remain as publicly owned space rather than private. This proposal prioritizes the monetization and privatization of an invaluable ecological gem. Rather than selling off the land for housing and tourism developments, financial support should be directed towards to protecting the ecological integrity of this land for generations to come. Wasaga beach is already a tourist destination. My family and friends have spent many summers at the water and beaches. Protect the water, beaches and habitats that this environment provides. People will come to swim, celebrate and enjoy this beautiful space but not if it becomes developed into housing and privatized. Wasaga beach should a place for everyone to enjoy, not just those who can afford it.
