Public beach access is at a premium and should remain under the provincial Parks in order to both preserve access to present and future generations and to provide a buffer zone between the lake and the town. The 4 beaches provide valuable habitat for local wildlife.
In an age where industrial development is encroaching upon limited resources like beaches, more than ever they need to be protected from development.
