I'm deeply disappointed by the decision to allow major development in our provincial park. These parks are among our province’s greatest treasures and play a crucial role in preserving wildlife and natural habitats for future generations. The municipality has consistently ignored this responsibility, and allowing them to destroy a protected area for short-term profit—especially in one of our most well-known parks—is disgraceful. My family visits provincial parks often, including Wasaga, and it’s heartbreaking to think it might be turned into just another overdeveloped waterfront that I won’t feel comfortable bringing my children to.
