The piping plover is an endangered species that resides in Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, and its habitat is part of the land to be removed under this proposal.
This proposal is not protecting natural habitat or species. Provincial parks are meant to protect the natural land and wildlife from development. It goes against Canada's belief to protect the wildlife and land and puts endangered species at risk of extinction.
This land belongs to all to enjoy as is. Do not set a precedent that can not be undone.
This proposal puts all provincial parks at risk of development and is a dangerous proposal.
