Ontario's natural beauty, rare ecosystems, and wildlife are a part of what makes it valuable to tourists. We arguably need expansion and increased numbers of provincial parks as use has increased steadily from 2009-2019 and of course we all saw the extreme increases in use during covid, to the extent that people had to book online if they wanted to go for a walk in nature. That's an extreme low supply problem. I don't believe transferring public lands to private land owners is what people want from this government. I believe it's a choice made with nothing but money and personal dealings at its core.
This province still has an obligation under the endangered species act to protect ecosystems like Wasaga Beach.
