The care of preserving and protecting wildlife is not seriously being considered in Wasaga as they create this new infrastructure despite what the Mayor is saying. I get the need to build and develop but also the need to protect those creatures who can't protect themselves is equally, if not more important. It's just another example of humans taking what they want even when it is at the expense of others.
