I do not support the plan to sell off Ontario parkland.
This government is a threat to not just Ontario but to Canada and the world. The amount of environmental damage past present and future can not be ignored. It must be stopped. Doug Ford’s government is once again putting the interests of developers ahead of people and the planet.
A new proposal on the Environmental Registry of Ontario (ERO #025-0694) would let the government remove beachfront lands from the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and sell some of that crown land to developers.
This is a dangerous and short-sighted move. Public parkland isn't for sale.
Developers must not be allowed to pay to pave over protected ecosystems.
Ontario needs stronger protections for the environment – not weaker ones.
