Privatizing beaches doesn't seem to align with the Ford government's stance on not selling Canada. Super disappointed with this lapse of judgement. Tourists like going to provincial parks and the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park attracts approximately 1.5 million tourists every year. If you think about it that many people walking through fragile coastal ecosystems is a lot. This new proposal would put native vegetation and valuable dunes at risk. Let's not pretend that this public area needs to be sold for profit. Think about all the damage that would be done to that beautiful natural area. Shameful.
