Yet again, the Ontario government pushes to disregard its natural diversity that it purportedly values so deeply. How exactly can one in good faith advertise a province as one's "to discover" if much worthy of discovery is threatened? At this point it make be naïve to expect any of this to be even vaguely considered based on past verdicts, but at the very least if this transfer is in fact made, significant precautions and measures must be taken by individuals genuinely educated on the matter of habitat conservation (in reference to Piping Plovers) to ensure that little if any damage is done to this already endangered species, because it goes without saying that experts on environmental matters have a far greater grasp on the potential negative impacts of this proposal than the provincial government.
