This proposal to sell or develop parts of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is reckless and short-sighted.
This park is not just a piece of land—it is a sanctuary for wildlife, including endangered bird species that are only now beginning to recover. Destroying or reducing this protected space risks undoing years of environmental progress.
As our cities grow upwards and denser, green spaces like Wasaga become even more essential. They provide not just recreational opportunities, but mental health benefits, clean air, and biodiversity. The trees here literally give us oxygen.
Generations of families have come to Wasaga to reconnect with nature, spend time together, and find peace. It is a place of deep emotional and ecological significance.
There is no legitimate reason to sell this land, except for private profit. Once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. We urge decision-makers to act responsibly, think long-term, and protect this park—not just for today, but for all the generations still to come.
Preserve Wasaga. Protect nature. Honor our shared legacy.
