I disappointed but not surprised to hear this leadership wants to develop on important public land once again. This provincial government has no respect for our beautiful waterfront, or the wildlife species that live on it. He believes public land is nothing but the future site of a luxury development. This particular piece of land is home to endangered species including the piping plover, in fact this site is the best habitat for piping plovers remaining in Ontario. To support the transfer of this land means another priceless piece of public land will be taken from us. It means profit for a few is more important than environmental conservation for the future.
