Proposed legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal is irresponsible and should not be adopted. Areas under protection should be increased, not sold off for development, especially when that land is habitat for endangered species like the piping plover.
