I am all for Beach Area 1 and 2 to be rebuilt and Nancy Island to be fixed up and become a tourist attraction once again. What I am not crazy about is Parks Ontario handing over some parts of the Beach to the town of Wasaga Beach. This opens up a door for the Ontario government to do what ever they want with our provincial parks and crown Land. Wasaga Beach town people do not want to lose access to Beach 1 and 2, or New Wasaga Beach and Allen wood Beach. They should all remain public. We don't want all of these builders coming into town and claiming these beaches as their own. This opens up a huge can of worms that allows the government of Ontario to do what ever they want. Wasaga Beach Provincial Parks is a protected environment for a reason. Next ot will be Beach 2, 3, 4 ,5. 6., or all over the Parks trail system The Niagara Escarpment is also a protected environment and we have already seen the Ford government try to trample all over that. If this is allowed in Wasaga, it will effect every Provincial Park in Ontario. Next it will be Algonquin Park, and any other Park they want to build roads or homes on. Not to mention all of the displacement of animals, birds, marshes, rivers, fish etc. I for one don't want Wasaga Beach turning into a concrete jungle.
