As a concerned citizen on the destruction of the important natural features of the currently protected sand dunes that make Wasaga Beach so special, I oppose the proposed legislative amendments to the PPCRA to remove parts of land from the Provincial park system and the sale of the crown land to the Municipality of Wasaga Beach. Many of the office of the Municipality of Wasaga Beach' complaints towards the Provincial park system are based around up keep and it would be better to create a system of cooperation in a joint support system for maintaining the beaches as they exist today instead. The proposals and plans as presented by the Municipality of Wasaga Beach have displayed a lack of concern and care towards the natural Sand Dunes of the beach that stabilize the ecosystem and has been a natural barrier to flooding. Wasaga Beach Municipality also has a recent track record of selling off public municipal lands around the beach to private development companies and based off the information on their website they have plans to sell the land that is still under control of the Provincial Parks.

As a citizen of Ontario and part time resident of Wasaga Beach, I oppose this legislative amendment.
