Please, do not amend the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act for the sake of Tourism. These Migratory Birds need a place to nest and keep their breeding grounds safe. Birds are not like people. They have their territories wired in their system. They will not move to what we may think is another possible breeding area.
And, if the Town of Wasaga Beach increased their tourism, it would bring more people and their pets, actually adding more stress to the Piping Plovers' habitat. The survival of the Piping Plovers is already at risk.
The Federal Government has designated these "Park Reserves" specifically for that purpose. Let's not break the wheel.
