Being a Wasaga Beach resident for over 40 years I have seen many changes brought on by different councils, some for the better and others not.
I do not believe that selling the parkland in question to the town will be the best decision for our community or the environment.
Park 1 has the dunes, and Park 2 is a large park that is full of beautiful trees, both would be destroyed if sold. Wasaga has grown tremendously over the past 10 years and continues to do so. To accommodate these homes, forested areas have been to be cut down to build subdivisions causing wildlife to relocate.
Please keep these "safe" areas as is to preserve what bit of nature we have left.
