Without any clear plan from any municipality or purchaser, simply selling off provincial parks or heritage land on simple speculation is simply irresponsible/(illegal?).
In the case of Wasaga Beach, Beach 1, New Wasaga Beace and Allenwood Beach. A recovering Piping Plover species exists their, for the moment it seems. A non-profit group monitors and helps maintain the beach area, with the Ministry's permission I assume‽ This will be lost, as well as the Plover Fest that brings in TOURISTS. FREE of charge VOLUNTEERS and TOURISTS, LOST. I'm sure you can guess the rest, Sauble Beach is the legal president.
In any proposal, where is the First Nations consultation. In the case of Wasaga Beace, Nancy Island becoming a Heritage site might interest First Nations. I'm sure they played a part in our Heritage, including the war of 1812 around Nancy Island. They could take possession and run the site better than a municipal council.
Provincial parks should exist apart from development. Not get mixed up in it.
