As a Forest Therapy guide, I am deeply aware of the importance of minimizing our impact on natural spaces. In my experience, rock climbers are among the most dedicated stewards of the land they use. Their deep connection to the environment fosters a heightened awareness of its needs, and they consistently take steps to protect and preserve it. Allowing rock climbing at Devils Glen would not only create opportunities for recreation, but also increase the level of care, monitoring, and protection the area receives. In my view, climbers’ respectful presence can help the land flourish in a positive and sustainable way.
