Hey there,
I’m a local rock climber who absolutely loves spending time outside climbing. I'm writing today to voice my strong support for the proposed amendment to the park's management plan at Devil's Glen Provincial Park I'm especially excited about the possibility of opening up new areas for climbing.
The climbing community is all about responsible recreation. We take "Leave No Trace" seriously and are always looking for ways to give back. Opening new routes would not only help our local community grow, but it would also bring new visitors to the area who are committed to being good stewards of the park. More climbers mean more people who care about this place and are ready to help protect it. Plus, we'll be supporting local businesses—like cafes and gear shops—every time we visit.
I understand there might be concerns about the impact on the environment or other park users. I want to assure you that as climbers, we're just as passionate about protecting the park as we are about exploring it. We're eager to work with park management to make sure any new areas are developed in a way that’s safe and sustainable for everyone.
