Dear Ontario Parks,

Access to outdoor climbing is important to me, and climbing in Ontario Parks provides me with valued recreational opportunities in nature. I fully support the proposed change to the Park Management Plan for Devil's Glen, which legitimizes climbing.

I have been climbing outdoors for 4 years, and as a climber based in Ontario, Devil’s Glen has been a beautiful getaway for me north of the city. The climbing there is not only challenging and fun, but also incredibly peaceful. It’s one of the places I go when I want to recharge in nature. Each visit reminds me of how important access to these spaces is for physical activity and mental well-being.

I’ve always found the climbing community at Devil’s Glen to be respectful of the environment; staying on trails, packing out waste, and caring deeply about preserving the park. I particularly support the proposal in the management plan for a new parking lot at Devil's Glen, which will improve the current temporary parking situation across the road.
