Any reduction of the number of species under protection in Ontario is a is both short sighted and irresponsible. Nothing is more important to the future of Ontario than the environment and its health. The unbelievable ignorance and malice of a government which would reduce protections for the sake of projects to make rich companies even, richer while the plants and animals, which keep us alive, are under huge stress, is hard to imagine. It is obvious that the premier does not have an environmental bone in his body. To take species off the board, as if they did not exist, is truly criminal. If he was actively trying to kill the planet he could not do a better job. The Hudson Bay Low lands which contain the the so called " ring of fire" are one of the largest carbon sinks on the planet and need to be strictly protected and free from development We need clean air and water and healthy plants and animals for all time; long after and the mines and jobs and profits are gone. If the premier wants to fight for Canada in our temporary crisis, why has he not relocated is American business interests to Canada?
