I OPPOSE the proposed changes to the Species Conservation Act. The federal Species at Risk Act does NOT protect species and habitat within the provincial domain. ALL species, including aquatic species and migratory birds, need protection and conservation. Mechanisms for project oversight and transparency must be maintained. Nature should not be sold off to the highest bidder.
