I completely disagree with removing protections from our at - risk species. As such a large country, we should not be able to allow putting the security of a species at risk simply because another province is currently maintaining a population. Science should never be able to be politically vetoed, especially so that Doug Ford’s developer friends can make more profit. This is not being done for the good of the people, this is corporate greed and disheartening that this is even a problem in our government. I oppose the narrowing of the definition of habitat and am requesting that mandatory recovery plans are brought back. Additionally, reinstate the Advisory Committee. We need oversight, not silence, and reverse the exclusion of aquatic species & migratory birds! They deserve provincial protection too and contribute to a healthy and secure ecosystem. To the Ford government, stop taking away protections and start working for the people and listen to what they want, not your business pals.
