Piping plovers, and all other endangered species, need to remain under Provincial protection. Piping plovers, and the others on the list to be removed, are protected federally but the federal government does not offer sufficient protections. These species will go extinct or become extirpated from Ontario if this passes. Bill 5 endangers lives for profit. It is unethical as is this proposal.
We need to be protecting 30% of land by 2030 - Ontario is behind EVERY other province and going backwards because of this corrupt, unethical government.
