I think the provision to ban municipalities from reconfiguring their roads is very stupid. On what basis is the province suggesting this measure? What benefit does it provide? To ease congestion? So many studies show that adding bike lanes and transit lanes reduce congestion, since bikes and transit move more people per space than cars. This legislation ties municipalities hands on their own abilities to plan for their communities. I thought conservatives were supposed to be about small government?
