As an about-to-become 80 year old living in the old city of Toronto I am still able to get around by using my e-assist bike. I am of course more careful of what routes I take, but that becomes harder when bicycle infrastructure is removed, refused or not connected.
Why are millions of dollars spent to remove what is in place when study after study supports the safety and efficiency of bike routes? Why is the safety of cyclists ranked lower than car drivers? Why is the environment no longer a concern? Why is the Province interfering in a purely city.decision.
Do not prioritize cars; withdraw this proposed legislation.
