Riding my bike to College & University is the quickest way for me to get to work in the morning (coming from west-end Toronto). It is also the quickest way for me to pick up groceries and run errands in my area. This bill does nothing to "fix traffic". I drive my car when I need to travel far distances that are not well served by transit. The province should focus on provincial matters, not municipal matters.
Additionally, the premier has noted that instead of speed camera, municipalities should focus on road reconstruction for safety measures. Bike lines can be a part of that, but you are handcuffing cities and towns ability to do so.
