I think government needs to safely accommodate all modes of transportation. This bill as proposed will limit future expansion of bike lanes across the Province. I believe the bill would benefit from an amendment that details how bike lanes could be expanded (I.e. allowing bike lane installation on secondary streets where car traffic is low).

Furthermore, people should be incentivized to use public transit which will reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality in our major cities. For example, provide financial incentives for people to take the Go train to a Leaf’s game instead of taking their car.
