I am strongly in opposition to this Bill and the proposals within. The government should focus on moving PEOPLE not just cars. Public transit, active transit (biking) and smart urban design are much more efficient and effective priorities than making more space for cars. The proposal to limit or remove bike lanes and prioritize cars is regressive, and will cause even greater traffic and congestion. Worldwide, cities are focusing on people, not cars, and seeing massive improvements in quality of life, not to mention economically. I am deeply disappointed that Ontario wants to adopt policies antithetical to the lessons learned by so many other cities, in North American and beyond.
