As an Ontario resident I am very opposed to the removal of the Ontario Endangered Species Act. I believe it will harm an already precarious and delicate system, which is already facing many threats from human encroachment and climate change. We should be doing more to protect wildlife habitats for endangered species but also the other ecological functions of these areas. We should as a province be doing all that we can to preserve and build ecological health and resilience and I don't think this change supports that.
