I oppose these changes.
By eliminating the Endangered Species Act, Bill 5 strips away the protections that are critical to keep many important species from disappearing. It is wrong to prioritize industry over biodiversity. You must not sacrifice critical habitats for short-term gain. Without strong protections, Ontario’s wetlands—and the species that rely on them—will suffer.
I urge you to reverse Bill 5 and restore strong safeguards to ensure that Ontario’s wildlife has a future.
