These regulations substantially weaken our democratically-developed approach to protection of species, habitats, and land in Ontario. They are an affront to all of those who came before us and a threat to the survival of species.
I cannot urge the government strongly enough to go back to the drawing board. Rethink what it is that Ontarians want: good governance that enables mineral extraction without destroying irreplaceable earth systems and the species and biodiversity we love and depend upon for our future.
