This is absolutely unacceptable. The Species Conservation Act, 2025 (SCA) completely guts the already could be improved Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA), due to Bill 56, Building a more competitive economy act which we do not need. It is due to a VAST mismanagement of funds into a unnecessary and illegitimate spa that is cut off from the lakeshore and downtown core of the city due to the placement of highways. Terrible use of funds for city police that do nothing than harass minority tax payers, improperly trained and over traumatized by how they are misled they have power over others. Species Conservation Acts should not be conservative and lack redundancy because species are covered possibly by federal regulations or others. That increase the gaps and lack of ability for the future, most of the reptiles have no protection following the new amendments to SCA. Really only birds are cared for only because federally and even then they are seeing a massive drop due to high rise buildings and lack of bird safe markings so they do not crash into glass and get killed. We are severely undercutting important wildlife biodiversity and worse making sure things are in place for even more damage and degradation in the future. Truly a foolish decision and to pay to quiet others and push others into a terrible goal.

You did this and we will never have certainty of reliable food ever again. We live along the Great Lakes! We have access to some of the freshest water on Earth and yet you spoil it with pollution, an expanding airport (Billy Bishop Airport), lack of garbage and recycling infrastructure and mismanaged waste that threatens to overflow from neighbouring landfills. And you want to cut species and environmental protections to make more money? Money canNOT do anything when we have no water to drink and only plastic to eat.
