Comment
I oppose the proposed Species Conservation Act, 2025 (ERO #025-0909). This legislation would weaken existing protections for species at risk and their habitats by reducing scientific oversight and removing automatic habitat protection. Ontario should strengthen, not diminish, its environmental laws to ensure the recovery and long-term survival of vulnerable species.
