I am opposed to Bill 60 which would amend the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). If passed, it would mean that a small town in eastern Ontario could not change its roads to accommodate bicycles safely, even if its council voted in favour of it, even if its citizens wanted to make that change. Municipalities should be able to decide that for themselves. The problems of Toronto are not the problems of other cities and towns in Ontario, Mr. Premier. Bill 60 is a misguided effort and an unnecessary over reach.
