I am appalled that this government is willing to overlook local planning and zoning acts in order to be "open for business". In other words, this government is willing to be open to environmental degradation and exploitation at the expense of not only local municipalities, but the environment itself. My municipality is located on Lake Simcoe. I see nothing but a dire future if our greenbelt is given over to development. Many people in the Lake Simcoe watershed have worked hard to restore the quality of the lake. Opening up development will negate all that hard work.

This government needs to listen more to the wishes of the people, and less to big developers.
