I am not sure why this government keeps attacking bike lanes and their use. Vision Zero should be a goal of the entire province and this can only be achieved by providing safe facilities for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, people with disabilities and cyclist.
It is a known scientific fact that providing safe connected cycling infrastructure will remove cars from the roads, reduce congestion and make the roads generally safer.
Providing safe cycling infrastructure will also permit builders to build homes that are not centred around vehicles therefore making living in them more affordable.
Affordability requires those starting out to be able to rent accommodations in locations not requiring the use of a vehicle to keep their costs low!!!!!!!!!!!
