For the appreciated public servants reading this and for those in the political office: please go on record opposing this legislation. We know from good science that reducing active transportation (bike lanes, etc. on roads) does NOT decrease congestion - unless the legislation includes forcing dedicated trails, which would create other challenges. Active transportation lanes, etc. are a solution to traffic congestion and also reduce health care costs because it gets people active. As a Registered Professional Land Use Planner in Ontario, I am embarrassed for our Premier for proposing this, and I oppose it vehemently. Thank you for your time and consideration.
